A page I have a lot of mixed opinions on, but here we go anyway. I'm happy to finally get to go into a bit more detail with how herd structure works in this comic in the next few pages.

Oh man do I have so many opinions on the "noble hunter" kind of thing you see when carnivore characters are the main character.

The "noble hunter" thing is why I stay away from most wolf comics. But then it's not very surprising, considering it's the narrative by the species dominating the planet and thinking it's "only natural". Of course you'd want the hunter to be noble because an even "nobler" hunter destroyed that hunter's habitat to build a suburb and that has to be okay, right??

Anyyyway, I found it really interesting how the Widower and Eisendahl see this from very different angle but their MO is essentially the same - putting the dead over the living. I don't think it's right but I can't exactly blame them either. Emotions are bastards.

The psychology in these types of settings is always so interesting. In a world where everything is a person how can each individual reconcile their nature.
